The Museum of air battle over the Ore Mountains was founded in 1996, 18 months later its doors officially opened to first visitors.
More than 12 years of historical research and documentation by The Air Historical Association Kovarska and Slet Pilsen preceded the opening of the Museum.
The third founder of the Museum was the village of Kovarska,
which provided these premises and financial support.
